on 12th april 2008(syf marching assessment)
CANBERRA SECONDARY SCHOOL BAND
was awarded
CERTIFICATE OF DISTINCTION!!!
yes, all our hardwork paid off! cssb has come this far tgt, cries laughters, everything! we suffered all pumpings, scoldings, tortures and all from teachers and seniors. and our dream finally came true! C.O.D okay~?! (action =p) i guess i would never never forget the day. it was the happiest day of my life.
summerise:
12th april 2008met darl at cwp for breakfast. and took 962 to sku. saw kamalrul walking out of sku. i asked darl where he going, he said, shld be go buy lunch lo. then i 'orh'. and then we looked at each other, 'lunch!!!' (we forgot to buy, hehhe) somebody said he'll go cwp banquet buy for me, where ar?!?!?! xP
kay, serious now.
we all reported to bandroom and rehearsed our final round. then, we changed into our uniforms and off we go to national stadium! everyone was so scared. cssb was the 2nd band to perform. so, when it was about our turn. some of us started to panic and cry. we were told to focus, just try our very best and rmb the 4 things darl told us. jerking, hentak kaki, walk on a line, posture.
so it was our turn, we marched from the track to the field, and started our formation. our band played Washington Post and Livin La Vida Loca. the seniors were like cheering for every move the band made. hehehe. then, after our performance ended, we watched the other band play. our senior, wei teck, treated us mac chicken. thanks yea.
the results are out in the evening. all bands marched to the field. the first band was awarded certificate of merit. so cssb started to *emmmmm, ohno* etc. we were all chanting for distinction. then, the emcee announced:
BAND NO. 2 , CANBERRA SECONDARY SCHOOL,
CERTIFICATE OF DISTINCTION!
the whole band jumped with joy, screamed our hearts out, and started to cry. we are the only band of 32 who scored distinction. our distinction drum major, danial, marched out to recieve the result and then marched happily back to join the band. the teachers and seniors are overjoyed too. we cheered for everyone, ms pan, ms mariah, darl, rosezina, many many more, at the carpark. but except _ _ _ _. hehehehhehe. goodjob =p we hugged each other and that was the time when i felt the band is really bonded and most of us were crying with joy.
so we played oye como va (a latin rock music) on the way to our bus. when we reached sku, ms pan wanted us to perform. it was 8plus pm and the BB were having their camp fire. so we performed for the BB. felt so proud and satisfied. (:
went up band room after that and there were 2 cockroaches! changed to our band tee and shorts in the toilet. when i opened my shoebag, another baby cockroach rushed out! bravo fatin killed it! hehhe.
then, we celebrated at kfc. me and darl left at 10.30 plus. i overslept in the train, and reached kallang! its like, sbw to kallang, kallang to sbw and back to kallang again. wth?! i quickly got off the train and wanting to take another train back. it was just right 12am alr. so train service ended. luckily mummy called me and uncle came to fetch me home. hehe.
till now, 12th april's syf marching assessment is still flowing in my mind. (:
but im running a high fever now and kept coughing like crazy.
lastly, i would like to thank this particular person who trained the band so hard. (hee, formal~)
thank you deary! thank you for coming to band everytime and helped us achieved distinction. we would never achieve this great result without your harsh trainings and all. i went to a few band member's blog and they all wrote that the credits all goes to you! hehe, happy not?! =p if not for you, i wouldnt have recovered from my dengue and able to go to sec2 camp and this syf. you made me happy everyday and even skipped sku(chaboat! ; hehe, shareinny teach me :D) just to tc of me. very sweet you knoe that?! (: ilu. alrite, cannot write so much, later *crusoe!* you knoe you knoe?!
ohya, the sku didnt announce that band achieved certificate of distinction. which made many people unhappy. why ar?! sports all the sku announce, lose also want to announce. shit sku. hahaha. but cssb rocks biggggg time! love yaw. theres bbq on fri to celebrate our great achievement. hope the seniors can make it to join us. (:
